Budweiser uses the sex appeal of a beautiful women to sell their beer. This advertisement uses illustration to grab the reader's eye. This advertisement uses pathos to appeal to an emotion of the reader. Most men, who look at the ad would think ", wow, look at that girl." That catches the reader's eye, and links to the emotion men have for women. Someone may think by looking at this picture ", If I drink Budweiser, I will get this girl." That statement would fall under: Cause and Effect.
I completely agree with the comments you have made. The model grabs the attention of the reader and it takes some concentration to even realize that this is a beer commercial. When they do realize that it is a beer commercial, they automatically think that the beer will have an unbelievable taste, and if they drink the beer, they will be more attractive to the opposite sex. Overall, this commercial is very affective and uses pathos to attract its audience.
